Firefox is noted for its security, friendly user interface, and fast rendering speed. However, its most lauded feature is its extensibility, with thousands of extensions available. With this in mind, I’d like to highlight some of my personal favorites here.
- All-in-One Sidebar offers quick access to downloads, extensions, and history. It boasts a high degree of customizability and even enhancements for Firefox’s built-in features.
- ChatZilla is an mIRC program within Firefox, making it easier than ever to manage conversations and chat rooms.
- DownloadThemAll does just what its name says - downloads all the links and images contained on the webpage for offline browsing or simple convenience.
- And lastly, TabMixPlus adds support for revolutionary features such as duplicating tabs, a full-featured session manager, and undo closed tabs and windows.
Lifehack.org also offers their take on this matter, with their own Top 10.
These extensions are merely a preview of the advanced capabilities that the long-awaited Firefox 3.0 right around the corner.
